Indeed, the PMI 150 can operate efficiently up to a height of 53 meters when using a 1500kg cutter crusher. The demolition equipment in this PMI 150 is fully modular, making it possible to use it for an array of different operations at varying heights. This versatility allows you to make the most of your fleet of machinery, since you can use the PMI 980 to carry out most - if not, indeed, all - of your demolition and excavation operations, without recourse to other machinery.
The PMI 150 Superlong Demolition comes equipped with the following:
- 1 x base boom (6.15)
-
1 x rear crane jib attachment (10.4m range)
-
1 x central crane jib attachment (5m)
-
1 x front crane jib attachment (5m)
-
1 x 3-piece articulated boom (23.5m)
Naturally, the demolition tools that may be attached to the machine vary according the desired height of operation - a 1300kg tool may be used when at maximum reach, whereas tools of up to 13000kg can be used at lesser extensions.
Therefore, the possible configurations are as follows:
Base boom, articulated boom, 35000kg cutter crusher: operational height 33m
Base boom, central crane jib attachment (5m), articulated boom, 2500kg cutter crusher: operational height 38m
Base boom, rear crane jib attachment (10.4m), articulated boom, 2200kg cutter crusher: operational height 43m
Base boom, rear crane jib attachment (10.4m), central crane jib attachment (5m), articulated boom, 1800kg cutter crusher: operational height 48m
Base boom, front crane jib attachment, central crane jib attachment, rear crane jib attachment, articulated boom, 1500kg cutter crusher: operational height 53m
The total weight of the machine may reach 150000kg.
In high-level demolition operations, it is crucial to have full control over the movement of the boom and the cutter crusher. For this reason - and also to avoid potentially dangerous oscillations when the boom is at its furthest extension - the base unit comes equipped with a dual control system. One system is used during excavation and facilitates speed of movement, while the other system is used during demolition and focuses on precision of movement.
The PMI 150 can easily be converted for excavation purposes by attaching to the base boom a 6m-long two-position boom and a 3m forearm and clamshell bucket with a maximum capacity of around 6m 3 . A 13000kg cutter crusher can then be fitted for use at an operational height of 17m.
The geometrical characteristics of this configuration allow for a maximum excavation distance of 18m, a maximum excavation depth of 8.4m, a maximum dumping height of 15m and a maximum loading height of 9.5m. The maximum breaking force at the bucket tip is equal to N 476620, while the maximum penetration reaches N 392282. The total weight is 130000kg.
